Cpl. Jeffrey A. Boskovitch (02/10/80 - 08/02/05)
In January of 2005, he was deployed to Iraq with the rest of his brothers from the 3-25 Battalion, 4th Marine Division of Brookpark, Ohio.
Our Marine, our Son, our Brother, our Friend was killed in action on August 2, 2005 in Haditha, Iraq as he fought for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cpl. Jeffrey Allen Boskovitch will be dearly missed.
If you knew Jeff, no explanation is necessary. If you didn't know Jeff, please know that he had an immense sense of humor, was fun-loving, and had a great zest for life. Most important, he was a Marine, a Marine that was honorable, courageous, and served his country with dignity.

The worst nightmare came true; Our Marine, our Son, our Brother, our Friend, our Neighbor was killed in action on August 2, 2005 as he fought for our continued freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cpl. Jeffrey Allen Boskovitch will be dearly missed and forever our remembered Hero!
During an unbearably hot August summer day in 2005, some say as hot as 120 degrees, Corporal Jeffrey A. Boskovitch and five other Marine Brothers fought their last battle defending our freedoms. We believe strongly they took the fight to that hot, dusty, unbearable place to keep the fight from our neighborhoods. In Jeff’s mind, heart and spirit he was protecting your right to peace and freedom.
Our desire for Jeffrey’s continued remembrance endures along with a deep desire his legacy lives on forever. The memorial fund for Corporal Jeffrey A. Boskovitch was first inspired by Jeff’s employer National City by creating a memorial fund contribution account at National City Bank and by contributing a large sum themselves. Many grateful community members, family, and friends added to the account beginning in August 2005 and continue to do so.
Committed friends, family and businessmen have contributed their time and efforts with fund raisers in Jeff’s honor. To ensure the funds were utilized in a fashion Jeff would be proud of, his mother Kathy Wright decided to create the Jeffrey Allen Boskovitch Memorial Foundation.
One of Jeff’s missions was to bring people together, whether friends, family, or community. Jeff’s last act of heroism vividly brought us together; outwardly for a brief moment but also silently in all our hearts for a lifetime. Holding with Jeff’s character, his foundation is committed to helping others. Specifically, his foundation with your support will assist others in achieving higher education goals in the form of scholarships awarded each and every year to young students wishing to pursue their dreams and desires just as Jeff did.
